The Indian Army has reaffirmed its focus on maintaining a high level of operational readiness as Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Southern Command, visited the Sudarshan Chakra Corps and Shahbaaz Division to assess their combat preparedness and modernization efforts.
During the visit, Lt Gen Pushkar was briefed on the formations’ current operational capabilities, training standards, and measures being undertaken to enhance battlefield effectiveness. Senior commanders presented updates on force readiness, mission planning, and the integration of modern technologies into day-to-day military operations.
The Southern Command chief interacted with officers and troops, acknowledging their professionalism and dedication in maintaining a constant state of preparedness. A key attraction of the visit was the display of indigenous unmanned aerial systems developed to strengthen surveillance and tactical operations. Lt Gen Pushkar praised the formations for embracing innovation and adopting indigenous solutions that improve operational efficiency.
