The imprisonment of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again come under international scrutiny after his sons, Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan, publicly raised concerns about his health and the conditions in which he is being held.
The brothers, who are based in the United Kingdom, have accused Pakistani authorities of keeping their father isolated and restricting contact with his family. They have also criticised what they see as an insufficient response from the British government and called for greater diplomatic attention to the situation.

The brothers have continued their campaign to draw international attention to their father’s detention, arguing that outside pressure is necessary to ensure his welfare and access to appropriate medical treatment. Their concerns have also gained visibility through the international cricket community, with several former and current players speaking publicly about the need for Khan to receive proper medical care and humane treatment.
The controversy has widened beyond Pakistan’s domestic politics after an interview with Khan’s sons at Lord’s became part of a separate dispute involving the Pakistan Cricket Board during Pakistan’s Test series in England. Reports said the PCB objected strongly to the interview, which focused on Khan’s health and imprisonment.
Khan’s imprisonment remains one of Pakistan’s most politically sensitive issues. His supporters maintain that his legal troubles are politically motivated, while Pakistani authorities have defended the legality of his detention. The continuing dispute over his health, prison conditions and access to family and medical care is now drawing renewed international attention.
For Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, the immediate priority remains securing regular contact with their father and ensuring that his health and welfare are independently monitored. Their appeal to the UK government has added another dimension to a case that continues to generate political and diplomatic pressure both inside and outside Pakistan.
