Addverb Tech and EndureAir Join Forces to Strengthen India’s Indigenous Drone and Robotics Ecosystem

Addverb Technologies and EndureAir Systems are joining forces to advance indigenous capabilities in robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and physical artificial intelligence, marking another significant step in the growth of India’s private-sector defence technology ecosystem.

The collaboration brings together Addverb’s experience in robotics and automation with EndureAir’s expertise in aerial robotics and high-endurance unmanned platforms. The partnership comes as autonomous systems, AI-enabled machines and UAVs are becoming increasingly important for military operations, logistics, surveillance and other demanding applications.

Founded in 2016, Addverb has developed into a global robotics and warehouse automation company, serving customers across multiple international markets. Its technology portfolio includes autonomous mobile robots, collaborative robots, quadruped platforms and humanoid robotics. The company says its focus is increasingly expanding toward physical AI systems capable of operating in real-world environments.

EndureAir, meanwhile, has built its expertise around high-endurance aerial platforms designed for applications including logistics, surveillance and operations in difficult terrain. The Noida-based company was incubated at IIT-Kanpur and has developed UAV solutions aimed at military and enterprise requirements. Its platforms are designed to carry payloads across challenging terrain and provide autonomous aerial capabilities for missions where conventional systems can face operational limitations.

One of EndureAir’s notable developments is the SABAL series of heavy-lift UAVs. The SABAL-200 platform is designed to carry payloads of up to 200 kg over distances of up to 200 km, with an endurance of around 2.5 hours. The platform uses a variable-pitch rotor configuration and an internal-combustion engine, giving it potential applications ranging from high-altitude military logistics to cargo transportation in remote areas.

EndureAir has also worked on specialised UAV systems for India’s defence requirements, including high-altitude platforms intended for operations along mountainous frontiers. Such capabilities are particularly relevant for the Indian military, where difficult terrain, limited road connectivity and extreme weather conditions can make conventional logistics and surveillance operations challenging.

The Addverb-EndureAir collaboration could help bring aerial and ground-based autonomous systems closer together. The combination of UAV technology with advanced robotic platforms has the potential to support future applications involving autonomous reconnaissance, surveillance, logistics and operations in high-risk environments.

The partnership also reflects the broader transformation taking place within India’s defence industry. Private technology companies and start-ups are increasingly developing indigenous solutions in areas such as drones, robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and battlefield logistics.

For India, greater integration between robotics and aerial systems could strengthen the domestic capability to design and manufacture complex unmanned platforms while reducing dependence on imported technologies. It could also support the development of dual-use systems capable of serving both military and civilian requirements.

With Addverb bringing expertise in robotics and physical AI and EndureAir contributing specialised aerial robotics capabilities, the partnership could become an important example of how India’s deep-tech companies are combining their strengths to address emerging requirements in autonomous and unmanned systems.
