French aerospace major Safran has expanded its presence in India’s aviation sector with the operational launch of its new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Hyderabad. The facility, established by Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI), marks a significant development in India’s efforts to build advanced aviation maintenance capabilities and strengthen its position in the global aerospace industry.
The Hyderabad MRO facility has been developed to provide specialised support for CFM International LEAP engines and is designed to handle maintenance activities for up to 300 engines every year.
