Delhi Police has issued notices to multiple social media platforms directing them to remove posts and videos containing abusive language targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The action comes after police identified numerous posts uploaded during the protests that allegedly contained offensive remarks directed at the prime minister. Delhi Police’s social media monitoring team has intensified surveillance across online platforms to flag objectionable content in real time.
Upon detection of offensive posts, the force is sending notices to respective platforms asking them to take down the content in accordance with applicable law. The monitoring effort reflects a broader operational posture by Delhi Police to manage civil unrest and maintain order during large-scale public gatherings.
The Jantar Mantar protest, which drew massive participation from students and youth over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, concluded on Saturday after the Centre accepted key demands. These included withdrawal of all FIRs registered against protesters, constitution of a high-powered task force to reform the National Testing Agency, and assurances of strict action against those involved in examination paper leaks.
