The 16th edition of Aero India, one of Asia’s leading aerospace and defence exhibitions, will be held at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru from February 8 to 12, 2027, the Ministry of Defence has announced.
Organised by the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence, Aero India 2027 is expected to bring together major aerospace and defence companies, armed forces personnel, policymakers, technology experts, innovators and industry representatives from India and abroad. The event is set to provide an important platform for showcasing developments in military aviation, aerospace technology, defence manufacturing and emerging capabilities.
The upcoming edition comes at a significant time for India’s aerospace and defence sector as the country continues to strengthen domestic defence production and expand its presence in international defence markets. Aero India has increasingly served as a platform where Indian manufacturers and technology developers can interact with global companies, explore partnerships and showcase indigenous systems and solutions.
The exhibition will also support business engagement and technology exchange between Indian and international stakeholders. With growing attention on indigenous aircraft, unmanned systems, aerospace technologies and defence equipment, the 2027 edition is expected to highlight India’s expanding defence industrial ecosystem.
The Ministry of Defence has developed a dedicated web-based portal for Aero India 2027 to facilitate participation by exhibitors and visitors. Exhibitor registration and exhibition-space booking are scheduled to begin from September 3, 2026, through the official Aero India portal.
Aero India has become an important international showcase for India’s aerospace and defence capabilities. The event provides opportunities for governments, armed forces, defence companies, research organisations and technology firms to engage in strategic dialogue and explore cooperation.
The 2027 edition will therefore be closely watched by the global aerospace and defence industry, particularly as India seeks to strengthen its position as a defence manufacturing hub and increase exports of indigenously developed defence equipment.
